Localization (Custom Text)
Every piece of text the bot sends into a ticket can be rewritten or translated: the buttons, the field labels on ticket and log embeds, the notices posted in the channel, and the direct messages. It is free on every plan.
Find it under Dashboard → Settings → Localization. Managing it needs the Admin role.
What you can change
The editor groups every string by where people see it in Discord. Pick an area from the list on the left (a dropdown on a phone) and you get a preview of that part of Discord with all of its text below it: the buttons, the embed headings and the messages together. Click any text in the preview to jump to its field.
| Area | Covers |
|---|---|
| Ticket opened | The Close, Claim, Unclaim, Add Note and Edit Note buttons, and the Category, Ticket and Created By headings on the opening embed |
| Claiming | The claimed and unclaimed notices, the Confirm Unclaim button, and the Claimed By, Unclaimed By and Previous Claimer headings |
| Closing & deleting | The close confirmation, the closed notice and its Delete and Reopen buttons, the delete warning, and the Closed By, Deleted By, Reopened By and Reason headings |
| Close requests | The Request Close button, the request the opener sees with its Accept and Keep Open buttons, the auto-close line, and the accepted and declined notices |
| Transcripts | The Save Transcript button, the transcript message and its headings, and the button explaining how to open a transcript |
| People & access | User added and removed, ticket made private, access restored, and the private staff thread notice |
| Staff logs | The Channel, Creator, New Name and Previous Name headings that only appear on log embeds |
| Direct messages | The ticket created, ticket closed, added to ticket, and transcript DMs. A category's own DM text wins over what you set here |
| Automation & feedback | The rating prompt, the thank-you replies to AI reply ratings, and the automations-paused notice |
| Support hours | The hours field a panel shows when support hours are on (its title, the day names, the Closed label and the local-time note), the out-of-hours notice and the outside-support-hours refusal |
| Errors when opening | What a member sees when a panel refuses a ticket: open ticket limit, category full, blocked or missing role, and so on |
| Linked accounts | The private prompts asking an opener to share or link their Steam account, their buttons, and the confirmation once they do |
| Lookups | The ban and account lookup buttons and the notices posted when lookup results are kept to staff |
Each area in the list shows how many strings it holds, and how many you have changed. Hover the info icon beside a name to see exactly where that text appears.
Leave any field blank to keep the default English text, which is shown as the placeholder. The reset arrow beside a field clears your text, Reset section clears the whole area, and Reset all in the top card clears everything. A character count appears once you get close to a field's limit.
The out-of-hours notice and the outside-support-hours refusal take {{hours.next_open}}.
Placeholders
Fields that accept variables show a Variables button beside their name, which lists the placeholders and inserts one at your cursor.
The list is per message, and only ever offer tokens that the message can actually resolve. {{target.mention}}, for example, appears only on the user-added and user-removed notices, because only those two know who was added or removed. Likewise {{opener.mention}} appears only on the close request, and {{closeRequest.closes}} only on its auto-close line. This is deliberate: a token used where it cannot resolve would be shown to the customer as literal {{braces}}.
Starter language packs
Pick a language from Language pack in the Bot language card at the top. The card also shows how many of the strings you have changed from English. There are packs for 45 languages:
| Region | Languages |
|---|---|
| Western and Southern Europe, the Americas | English, Español, Português (BR), Français, Deutsch, Italiano, Nederlands, Català, Ελληνικά |
| Northern Europe and the Baltics | Svenska, Dansk, Norsk, Suomi, Eesti, Latviešu, Lietuvių |
| Central and Eastern Europe | Polski, Čeština, Slovenčina, Magyar, Română, Hrvatski, Srpski, Slovenščina, Български, Українська, Русский |
| Middle East and Africa | العربية, עברית, فارسی, Türkçe, Kiswahili |
| South Asia | हिन्दी, اردو, বাংলা, தமிழ் |
| East and Southeast Asia | Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Melayu, Filipino, Tiếng Việt, ไทย, 日本語, 한국어, 繁體中文, 简体中文 |
A pack fills every area at once, and every string stays editable afterwards, so a pack is a starting point rather than a mode you switch into.
If a pack does not yet translate every string it is flagged with its coverage in the list, so you see the gap before applying it rather than discovering English mixed into your language later.
Picking a language always asks you to confirm, and tells you how many strings it will fill. If you already have custom text, the confirmation also asks what to do with it:
- Keep my custom text only fills the strings you have not customized.
- Replace everything overwrites your custom strings too.
Either way nothing is written until you press Save Changes in the bar at the bottom of the page.
Import and export
Use Export to download your text as a file, and Import to load one back. This is handy for copying a translation between servers or keeping a backup. Import only accepts strings it recognizes, so an out-of-date file loads what it can and ignores the rest.
When changes apply
New tickets use your text right away. Open tickets pick it up the next time their buttons refresh, for example when a ticket is claimed or closed.
Tips
- The button labels have an 80-character limit (a Discord limit on buttons).
- The button icons are set by the bot and stay the same whatever text you use.
- This is per-server text, not per-member. Everyone in the server sees the same labels, whatever their own Discord language setting.
- The search box above the area list searches every area at once, matching names, the English text and your own text. Each area shows how many matches it holds, and areas with none are dimmed.
