Adding the Bot
This guide covers adding Ticket Tool to your Discord server, including the authorization process and required permissions.
Prerequisites
Admin Permissions Required
You must have Administrator or Manage Server permissions in your Discord server to add bots.
Add to Your Server
Click the button below to add Ticket Tool to your server:
Authorization Process
When you click the invite link, you'll see Discord's authorization page:
Required Permissions
Ticket Tool needs these permissions to function, grouped by what each one does:
Channels & roles
- View Channels: see ticket channels
- Manage Channels: create and delete ticket channels
- Manage Roles: set up ticket channel permissions
- Manage Messages: pin and manage messages in tickets
Messaging
- Send Messages: send messages in tickets
- Embed Links: send rich embeds
- Attach Files: send transcript files
- Add Reactions: add reactions to messages
- Use External Emojis: display custom emojis from other servers
Webhooks & mentions
- Manage Webhooks: send messages with custom names
- Mention Everyone: ping non-mentionable roles in the Tag Role flow node
- Read Message History: read past messages to build transcripts
Private threads
- Manage Threads: run ticket conversations in threads
- Create Private Threads: open private ticket threads
- Send Messages in Threads: reply inside ticket threads
Missing Permissions
If you don't grant all requested permissions, some features may not work correctly. You can update bot permissions later in your server settings.
Verifying the Bot Joined
After authorizing, you should see Ticket Tool appear in your server's member list. The bot will show as online once it's fully connected.
Look for the Ticket Tool bot with a bot badge in your member list.
Troubleshooting
Bot Not Appearing?
If the bot doesn't appear after a few minutes:
- Check if the bot was added to a different server by mistake
- Ensure you have Administrator or Manage Server permissions
- Try removing and re-adding the bot with the invite link
Bot Shows as Offline?
The bot may take a minute to connect. If it stays offline:
- Wait a few minutes and refresh Discord
- Check the bot's status on our status page
- Contact support if the issue persists
